Photos from the Frys.com Open

GolfWRX is live from the Frys.com Open, the first event of the PGA Tour’s new wraparound schedule.

Headlining this week at the Tour’s first event are a handful of top names (Angel Cabrera, Billy Horschel, Charles Howell III, Marc Leishman and Kyle Stanley), but there’s also a fresh crop of Web.com players who are new to the Tour card-carrying experience.

Along with defending champion Jonas Blixt are the far less-familiar names of Chesson Hadley (won the Web.com Tour Championship), Kevin Kisner (won the Web.com Chile Classic), Michael Putnam (led the 2013 Web.com Tour money list), Tyrone Van Aswegen (straight off his 24th-place finish in the Web.com Tour Finals, he already has the best name on the PGA Tour) and several others.

Take a look at the photos we snapped this week at CordeValle Golf Club, where golfers are busy testing new gear and getting their games in shape for 2014.

    Did Carl Pettersson get dropped from Nike? I think in Day 2, PT1, he was using Taylormade stuff.
