Well sorry to hear about your injury but my experience is 180 degrees off. I often practice in bare feet, Sam Snead style, and work on swinging within myself and swinging in balance, and it helps my golf game. I’ve had my best rounds playing in cheap running shoes focusing on balanced swings, and my shotmaking was excellent.

Good in theory, but according to Footjoy their shoes have the same heel to toe drop as the Nike trainers in the video … So negating one of his points.

I am proof to the fact that not practising in your golf shoes not only hurts your game but can cause serious injury. 5 years ago I was practising on some mats at my local range and slipped hitting a shot because the mats were wet, this resulted me tearing my calf muscle and sidelining me for 6 months. I still cannot play a round of golf without some sort of pain. Guess what every-time I practice my golf shoes are on. A big like for the post from me.
