This video seems to imply that we pivot on our legs, when in fact we pivot on our hip joints.
The legs support the hips.
The trail leg back drill forces the pivot on the lead hip, rather than hanging back on the trail hip in DS. it also ensures we stay “inside” the ball.
If we simply point our butt hole behind our lead heel at address, we ensure our pivot is correct every swing.
Its described best in ” The Hogan Manual of Performance Sport: GOLF”, 1992.

Shawn… have you noticed that tennis players jump off the ground to gain more racket head speed? How could a golfer do the same to increase clubhead speed? Any thoughts on how to jump up during the downswing??

Don’t hold your breath waiting for Shawn to reply. He’s notoriously absent on this forum… he dumps and runs.
