Brandel Chamblee touched on a couple of items that demonstrate Cameron Champ’s superior ability to hit the long and effortless ball; the freedom of the arms and the turn of the body. And guess what? You can’t get one without the other!

“do this or that just as Cameron Champ does to hit the ball as long as he does”

Is this the beginning of every other golf instruction tip for the forseeble future?

    Cheap tricks

When there is maximum power transmission there is no slack in the transmission system.
Just as power transmission in a bicycle’s drive train requires the proper tension in the rollerchain drive.

What appears to be width in Champs BS is caused by his lateral move toward the target during his BS(just as Ben Hogan did). It is the lack of slack, through proper sequencing of the kinematic chain, in DS that transmits maximum power.

In this YouTube video, Champ’s right upper arm connects to his chest once his right elbow reaches his right hip. His right elbow is away from his chest in the backswing and stays open until that moment in the downswing and through impact. This seemingly contradicts your observations.

I didn’t see in this video anything which separates CAMERON CHAMP from the other top players on the Tour .As I see him swinging ,he is very ,very flexible and has a big hip and shoulder turn with a lot of velocity in his downswing and his throughswing .Nothing different from RORY Mc ILROY or JUSTIN THOMAS or DUSTIN JOHNSON or BOBBY WILSON

I usually like Shawn Clement, but this sounded like an advert for other videos. Nothing useful, another Cameron Champ click-bait. Jump on the band wagon boys!

Long video for not much info. Shawn had plenty of time to actually show how to complete a backswing rather than refer to another video.

I posted an update to Shawn Clement’s info as listed on this article.

The information above about Shawn is a little out of date. I believe he’s still affiliated with RHGLC but his current position is Director of Development for Royal Québec Golf Club and Academy out of Boischatel, Québec.

Cameron has a OFOS swing or a out of order sequence swing.
