WATCH: How to start your golf swing the right way
In this video, I share with you how to side bend to ensure you start the swing correctly and set the club on plane. This will allow you to have the correct takeaway.

Straight spine, no side bend. Simply preset spine angle at address .

On that video, side bend promoted outside takeaway and concave left wrist.

In correct takeaway the extreme butt of the shaft is moved down with the pinkie of the top hand.
The golf club is a lever and the butt end has to move down toward the ground in order for the clubhead to be moved up, away from the ground.
