An excellent interview, Michael, one that shows how people can grow and flourish despite poor choices when younger. That Dixon was jailed for 27 years for a crime he did not commit is unfathomable, and my heart and prayers go out to him and his loved ones. Hopefully, Dixon has many fruitful, fulfilling years ahead and, while never making up for lost time, leaves him enjoying the time he has remaining. I get why drawing and painting golf courses helped him cope through the peaceful, transcendent feelings they evoked in him. It’s one of my favorite aspects of playing the game – the relaxing vibe and perspective one can draw from being on a course amid beauty, quietude and nature. As this podcast shows, it can be a life-changing force. Good luck, Valentino!
