GolfWRX is live from the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

The tournament is held at Grey Silo Golf Course, a 6330-yard par-71 layout that was home to Brittany Lang’s first LPGA Tour victory in 2012.

Lang finished 16-under-par to tie Chella Choi, Hee Kyung Seo and Inbee Park. The four players went into a three-hole sudden-death playoff that Lang won to earn the $195,000 first-place check.

This year, Lang returns with Choi, Seo and Park, who has won the season’s first three major championships — the Kraft Nabisco Championship, Wegmans LPGA Championship and U.S. Women’s Open. All eyes are on the 24-year-old South Korean, who is attempting to do something that’s never been done in women’s golfer — win the “Grand Slam,” or all four major championships in one year.

This year, the LPGA added a fifth major to its schedule, the Evian Championship in mid-September in France, which could put Park in an odd position. If she was able to win the season’s last traditional major, the Ricoh British Open in early August, she could technically win five LPGA majors in 2013. Or she could lose the British Open but win the Evian Championship, which would still give her four major championship titles.

Other notables in the field include the Nos. 2 through 9-ranked golfers in the Official Rolex Rankings: Stacy Lewis, Suzaan Petterson, Na Yeon Choi, So Yeon Ryu, Shanshan Feng, Karie Webb, Yani Tseng, and I.K. Kim. Paula Creamer, Morgan Pressel, Natalie Gulbis, Lexi Thompson, Michelle Wie, Christina Kim and Jessica Korda are also in the field.
