FORMAT
The Presidents Cup competition consists of 34 matches:
Thursday – 6 Four-ball matches
Friday – 6 Foursome matches
Saturday morning – 5 Four-ball matches
Saturday afternoon – 5 Foursome matches
Sunday – 12 Singles matches
All matches are worth one point each, for a total of 34 points. There are no playoffs for Foursomes or Four-ball, with each side receiving a half point if the match is tied after 18 holes. Singles matches tied after 18 holes will go to extra holes until a team winner is determined. In a change inspired by the events of The Presidents Cup 2003, if the match is deadlocked at the end of Singles play, the competition will be deemed a tie and the teams will share The Presidents Cup.
TELEVISION COVERAGE
The Presidents Cup is projected to be broadcast in 225 countries and territories, to nearly 800 million homes, and in 30 different languages. The U.S. broadcast will be hosted by NBC, with broadcasts on Golf Channel (Thursday, 12-6 p.m. ET; Friday, 1-6 p.m. ET) and NBC (Saturday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sunday 12-6 p.m. ET).

Photos from the 2022 PGA Show
GolfWRX was on site for the golf business’s annual winter rite: the PGA Merchandise Show.
While the weather was less than cooperative for demo day, there were no such difficulties inside the Orange County Convention Center. This isn’t to say there weren’t significant figurative headwinds influencing this year’s Show, but those are widely discussed elsewhere. Our duty here was merely to document, and that is what we did to the tune of more than 1,500 photos, below.
Enjoy!

Interesting photos from the Mallorca Open
Thanks to our friends at SMS_on_Tour for sending along some shots from last week’s Mallorca Open at Golf Santa Ponsa.
Denmark’s Jeff Winther topped a trio of players at 14 under (and some trouble in a bathroom) to win.
Let’s take a look at some interesting photos!
First up, Ashley Chesters with a Nike Vapor Fly 5-wood in the bag.

Twitter sensation Eddie Pepperell is one of the few pros we’ve spotted with a TaylorMade 300 Mini Driver in play.

Scott Hend’s wedges feature some fantastic stamping.

An original White Hot 2-Ball in the wild. The real OG!

Mitsubishi Kai’li (which officially launched today) spotted here.

Scott Hend with the pink paintfill on his Toulon Palm Beach.

Jazz Janewattanond’s wedge stamping never disappoints (even if often confounds)

Everyone just shut up…. Tiger is the King of the sport! Looks the best dressed out there. Keagan should just get a sponsorship so he can get some real shoes, those dont even exist and he’s so ugly when he plays golf. Him and Mckelson just discust me… Terrible.

He signed with Nike for this season, hence the Jordan shoe w/ TW ’12 sole.

Hundreds of pix from Thursday and none of Johnson or Dufner, who by the way smoked their opponents. Please give equal photo coverage…

I think they would look better if the brown was red. I like the shape/style/cut, but ya – as is, pretty bad.

Woods needs to find a pair of decent looking golf shoes. The brand new white sneaker look with dark pants is awful.

I love MJ, but Keegan’s pimp white shoes are any better? Half the guys are wearing white, half black. At least Tiger doesn’t wear black with navy slacks. Why do you think they’re copying his red shirt? All wanna-be’s! LOL Leave his friggin white shoes alone. Talk about cheater putters instead, or the slobs whose bellies cover up their belt buckle.
