Photos from the Valspar Championship

Published

on

GolfWRX is live from the PGA Tour’s Valspar Championship, previously known as the Tampa Bay Championship.

The title sponsor has changed, but the event is still held at Innisbrook Resort’s Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor, Fla. Copperhead is best known for its three-hole finishing stretch called “The Snake Pit,” which bring hazards and high scores into play.

Last year’s champion Kevin Streelman played The Snake Pit at 1-over for the week. He navigated holes Nos. 1 through 15 at 11-under for a 10-under total that gave him a two-shot cushion over runner-up Boo Weekley.

While Streelman and Weekley will return to Innisbrook, many of the world’s top-ranked golfers are taking time off this week as they prepare for The Masters. There are four top-20 ranked players that are in the field, however, including Justin Rose (No. 7 in the Official World Golf Rankings), Matt Kuchar (11) Jordan Spieth (13) Jason Dufner (17) and Brandt Snedeker (19). Also teeing it up are Luke Donald, Harris English, Jim Furyk, Bill Haas, David Lynn and Gary Woodland.

Where can normal people get lead like that?
Everything I try and melt onto my club just bubbles and runs off.

    Are they even melting it?

Melt? It’s just tape, it’s not supposed to be melted. Just stick it on.

Look at image 3 though. There’s no way that’s just stuck on.

GolfWRX is on site for the second major of 2026: The PGA Championship from Aronimink in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

The tournament’s location, just outside Philadelphia, and its status as a major championship mean GolfWRXers are in for a treat: WITBs from a strong field, custom gear celebrating the PGA Championship, and the rich culture of the City of Brotherly Love — we have noted a relative absence of cheesesteak-themed items thus far this week, but most of the rest of the usual suspects are well represented.
