Photos from the U.S. Women’s Open

Published

on

GolfWRX is live from Pinehurst No. 2, which is working double duty this week as the site of the U.S. Women’s Open.

Last week, Pinehurst No. 2 played host to the U.S. Men’s Open, where Martin Kaymer earned an 8-shot victory over the field. The course played softer on Thursday and Friday and some low scores were had, but No. 2 firmed up on Saturday and Sunday. That made the course so difficult that only three players (Kaymer, Erik Compton and Rickie Fowler) were able to finish the tournament under par.

The course will play considerably shorter for the U.S. Women’s Open, but the difficulty of the course will likely remain high. Players will need to keep their tee shots between Pinehurst’s waste areas, which take the place of traditional rough on the course, and make sure that they’re approaching the greens from the proper angles if they hope to stop their shots on the course’s upside-down-plate-shaped greens.

Check out the photos we shot of the ladies this week at Pinehurst No. 2.

How often do you see women golfers hiiting balls and putting while the men are warming up for the final round on the us open? I thing having the women’s open after the men on the same course is great. I only wish I could have made it to see it live. The USGA is questioned on every move they make but the never seem to lack courage when trying something new.

Couldn’t agree more. I thought it was an awesome move as well.

Wow! Fluff carrying Lydia Ko’s bag! That’s awesome! Who’s the girl in the pink/preached coloured skirt and top with the Callaway hat in Monday Pt 2? She doesn’t look familiar. US Opens are awesome, so many new faces, men and women.

This may turn out to be the greatest idea the USGA has ever had!

Photos from the 2026 PGA Championship

GolfWRX is on site for the second major of 2026: The PGA Championship from Aronimink in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

The tournament’s location, just outside Philadelphia, and its status as a major championship mean GolfWRXers are in for a treat: WITBs from a strong field, custom gear celebrating the PGA Championship, and the rich culture of the City of Brotherly Love — we have noted a relative absence of cheesesteak-themed items thus far this week, but most of the rest of the usual suspects are well represented.
