TaylorMade to release limited-edition Stars and Stripes R15 driver

Published

on

If you love TaylorMade and America, we’re about to put a big smile on your face. TaylorMade is releasing 50 limited-edition R15 460 drivers adorned with the stars and stripes, as well as red and blue sliding weights that will add more patriotism to your power fades (or pop ups).

The drivers ($800) are individually numbered, and go on sale Thursday, June 25 in TaylorMade’s Vault, where limited-edition products are occasionally released to the public.

Why so much?

They come stock with the No. 1 shaft on the PGA Tour, Aldila’s Rogue 125 MSI Limited Edition that are made in the U.S. and sell for $700 on their own. The drivers are available for righties in lofts of 9.5 and 10.5 degrees, and shaft flexes 60S and 60X.

…well, it has been a few weeks since TM came out with another new product that is 17-yards-longer than their previously-17-yards-longer new product.

I’d pay $800 for the headcover alone.

Dumb thing is, TM should make one for the Ladies and kids, they would snap these up in a heartbeat. Gear for the First Tee, TM! Regardless of patriotism or not, paying $800 for a driver men will most likely never use nor be caught dead seen with pretty colored stars. Hopefully TM will get to their senses and hand these out to the Ladies’ US teams.

I thought it would have the American flag on the crown, very disappointing.

Had Taylor Made donated all profits to Wounded Warrior Program or VFW or similar Veteran Organization, I would have been all over it,,,,,

It’s like TM forgot to think about/cover that small detail. So that they could push another driver on the already soaked golf equipment market

Testing Lorem Ipsum

Published

on

What is Lorem Ipsum?

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Why do we use it?

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).

GolfWRX is on site for the second major of 2026: The PGA Championship from Aronimink in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

The tournament’s location, just outside Philadelphia, and its status as a major championship mean GolfWRXers are in for a treat: WITBs from a strong field, custom gear celebrating the PGA Championship, and the rich culture of the City of Brotherly Love — we have noted a relative absence of cheesesteak-themed items thus far this week, but most of the rest of the usual suspects are well represented.
