In this week’s “Wisdom of Golf” video, I discuss a simple way to work the golf ball — or how to hit draws and fades in other words — with better control. I also talk about ball position, “planing wood,” and I provide a one-legged drill that you should find useful in your next practice session. Enjoy!

most important thing when watching any draw (or fade videos) is to know whether they are teaching a draw or a push draw (or a fade or a pull fade). The difference is important because of perception, body position, and what you will be seeing with the ball flight relative to the target.

I guess there’s a teacher/style for everyone out there, no matter how goofy this style sounds. Props.

Another camera – facing the golfer- would have helped to clarify the actual ball position. Behind the ball, you really can’t see the differences.

I like a lot of Shawn’s stuff, but this video is 99% incoherent to me.

Agreed. Like another said a “face on” camera angle would have helped.

Not only incoherent but also contradictory from his other videos on stance and ball position.
