SPOTTED: Cleveland RTX4 wedges

Published

on

On Tuesday at the 2018 PGA Championship, we spotted new Cleveland RTX4 wedges, which are almost certainly set to be the replacements for the company’s previous RTX3 wedges.

Based on the photos we shot at Bellerive, there will at least be “low,” “mid” and “full” sole grind options, and lofts will range from at least 46 degrees to 60 degrees in a number of different bounce options.

Based on photos of the face and the nomenclature of the wedges, Cleveland has kept with its familiar Rotex Face Technology featuring micro-milling across the face to increase spin. It could be the angle of the photos or the lighting, but those milling marks look a bit more pronounced out on the toe than previous RTX wedges, don’t they?

Cleveland is not speaking up on any details or specs at the moment, so check out the forum thread for more speculation and in-hand photos

Look nice, but can we have some lofts above 60° please Cleveland?
You used to make 62° and 64° – what happened? I would buy!

Glad to see the V-Sole is going away. Just not a fan and I don’t think a lot of consumers were either.
