This one is very important. One one side, the Tour pro says I do this subconsciously, then in the same breath he says I need to rotate the knee and push off the right and drop in the slot, etc…THIS IS WHY GOLF IS SO CONFUSING TO LEARN!
You cannot be two places at once — period. So, you either follow a trail of thinking like a breadcrumb trail through the ball to your target or you deliver through a task without thought, just intent. Wisdom in Golf has this structure for you in spades; it will show you the way from task and or analogy of what you already do well, then plug this into the golf swing and then apply to golf shots and keep you on task and prevent you from falling off the rails from fear of doing something wrong. In our book, you are incapable of doing wrong!

SB, Why golf instruction is so confusing!
The BS comes before the forward swing toward the target.
Our subconscious programs for movement in one direction at a time.
So before BS, why would any golfer be focused on moving toward the target? The first move is away from the target. How the premotor cortex prepares for movement… in one direction:
Premotor cortex neurons signal preparation for movement. A monkey is trained to prepare to make a movement to the right or left depending on a cue instruction, but to delay the movement until a “Move” signal is given (Weinrich and Wise 1982). Some neurons will fire selectively when the animal is preparing to make a movement to the right (Play Prepare right cell). Other neurons will fire selectively when the animal is preparing to make a movement to the left (Play Prepare left cell). Note that the cells fire in the interval between the Prepare instruction and the Move instruction, but they do not fire during the movement itself.
