The only thing I’d do differently is to measure the depth of the hosel, then mark that distance up from the tip of the shaft. That way, you know that the taper is enough that the tip has “bottomed out” in the hosel. Also, don’t take the taper too far up the tip, as the top of the hosel would be around .370, and you don’t want slop there. For the benefit of those who haven’t done this before.
