‘What the heck is this!?’: Bryson DeChambeau on encountering UFOs

Ahead of this week’s 2021 PGA Championship, Bryson DeChambeau has been discussing his belief in UFOs and unexplained aerial phenomena.

Speaking on the SiriusXM PGA Tour Network’s show hosted by Gary McCord and Drew Stoltz, the 27-year-old revealed a strange experience he went through during the Covid-19 pandemic alongside coach Chris Como and his friend Adam Hurley.

In his back garden last year, DeChambeau claims he saw “three little silver metallic discs” moving around “in a triangle shape” – leaving him, Como and Stoltz all in disbelief.

At the time, DeChambeau was able to take a picture of it and later went on Instagram Live to talk about what he had witnessed. Per Bryson, the discs floated for just under an hour before disappearing, an experience that left him thinking, “What the heck is this?”.

A man of God, DeChambeau also expressed on the show that he sees no conflict of interest between his religious beliefs and his belief in UFOs.

“I am a religious man and I don’t think it conflicts with any views from being a Christian. … God talks about pretty much [what is in] the Bible and Jesus coming down and saving us as humans and I think it’s not excluding all life out there elsewhere. I think He (God) came down and created this book (the Bible) for us, for the humans on earth. There’s no reason why He couldn’t make other beings everywhere else.

So being a religious man I think that if anything it is just us, from science or religion, trying to explain what God did. I don’t think there are any issues with that. I didn’t think I was getting too deep into it but I really believe there is other stuff out there and it doesn’t affect my faith or anything.”

If there is life on other planets, DeChambeau doesn’t believe we currently possess the technology to explain the phenomenon but does think that should it be proved, it could bring about world peace.

“There’s either one person, like a Tony Stark individual, that is doing things that we can’t explain, which is definitely in the realm of possibilities. I would say the probabilities of that are less than potentially us being future time travelers that are able to come back with technology that we’ve never seen. I mean, that’s definitely a possibility, too.

But personally I think that it’s some other life that we don’t understand or know as of right now. I personally don’t think it is other technology that we currently in this dimension understand. Maybe a parallel universe, somebody flipping over and jumping through a worm hole or something and showing us what we got. (laughs)”

I think more and more people want to know about this and what it could potentially do for our world. I mean, shoot, if anything it could bring us world peace, really honestly bring us all together, unite us together and just realize that we are a human race. I think it’d be the greatest thing that could ever happen.”

CBS’s Sunday Masters coverage slammed by golf fans

While Sunday was a dramatic day at the Masters, many golf fans were left feeling frustrated by the CBS final round coverage.

There were plenty of moments that golf fans took to social media to air their frustrations on Sunday over, including a lack of shots being shown throughout the day, being behind the live action, confusion over the approach shots of the final group on 18, and providing an angle for the winning putt where the cup couldn’t be seen.

Here’s a look at some of the criticisms that were directed at the CBS coverage throughout the day on X:

The surprise club Tommy Fleetwood says is key to his Masters chances

Tommy Fleetwood goes in search for the first major victory of his career again this week, with the Englishman proving to be a popular pick at Augusta National.

Fleetwood’s best showing at Augusta came back in 2024 where he finished T3, and while speaking at his pre-tournament press conference, the 35-year-old emphasized the importance of his 9-wood in his pursuit of the green jacket.

Speaking on Tuesday to media, Fleetwood said:

“It’s a great 9-wood golf course. I think it’s always been — I can’t remember when I first put like a 9-wood in or a high lofted club, but it’s a perfect like 9-wood golf course. I’ve had that in the bag for a few years.”

The Englishman continued, revealing that his strategy for the week won’t just be to hit driver off the tee as much as possible:

“Yeah, it’s funny really because I know Augusta is probably associated with being fairly forgiving off the tee in a way, so you think you can whale around driver a little bit. But I don’t necessarily think that’s always the play for me. I think there’s holes that set up really well where I can draw it with the mini driver if I’m feeling less comfortable with the driver and things like that.”

That strategy he believes will make his TaylorMade Qi10 9-wood extra critical this week in Georgia:

“The biggest thing is the 9-wood for me. If I can put myself in position on the par-5s or the 4th long par-3, like it — for me, I can’t really hit that high 4-iron, so 9-wood helps me a lot.”
