In the second episode of this season of “Modern Classics,” in partnership with 2nd Swing, GolfWRX’s Brian Knudson tests Titleist’s famed 910 driver.

Released in late 2010, the 910 marked a major turning point in modern driver design and helped solidify Titleist’s reputation for precision and tour-level performance. Its biggest contribution was the introduction of the SureFit Tour hosel, which allowed golfers to independently adjust loft and lie — one of the first widely adopted adjustable systems that made custom fitting far more accessible and efficient.

Debuting on the PGA Tour months before retail release, the 910 series (notably the D2 and D3 models) saw rapid adoption and immediate success, earning multiple professional wins and becoming one of the fastest-accepted drivers in company history. From a technology standpoint, it featured a thinner crown, improved center-of-gravity placement, and a larger “sweet spot,” all of which enhanced distance, stability, and forgiveness compared to its predecessors.

You can purchase the Titleist 910 driver from 2nd Swing here from $65.99.
