Arnold Palmer Invitational Photos
GolfWRX is live from the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard at Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando, Fla. The ever-changing 7,419-yard, par-72 layout will play host to a strong field for its 36th edition of the event.
Defending champion Tiger Woods has been plagued by injuries in 2014, but he returns to Bay Hill chasing an all-time record ninth professional win at a single tournament, which would break a tie with Sam Snead (Greater Greensboro Open) and himself (WGC-Bridgestone Invitational). In last year’s event, Woods held off Rickie Fowler and Justin Rose in a Monday finish that never got closer than a two-stroke deficit for his pursuers.
In order to make history and defend his title, Woods will have to stay back spasm-free and beat a strong field consisting of 10 other golfers in the top 20 in the Official World Golf Rankings.
Notable names include Adam Scott (No. 2 in the OWGR), Henrik Stenson (No. 3 in the OWGR) and Patrick Reed, who sits in the No. 3 position in the FedEx Cup standings coming off his win at the WGC Cadillac Championship. Reed put himself under a microscope for the near future with a bold post-round interview where he proclaimed he is a top-5 golfer in the world Jason Day, the No. 4-ranked golfer in the OWGR, will be sidelined for the second straight tournament with a thumb injury.

Photos from the 2022 PGA Show
GolfWRX was on site for the golf business’s annual winter rite: the PGA Merchandise Show.
While the weather was less than cooperative for demo day, there were no such difficulties inside the Orange County Convention Center. This isn’t to say there weren’t significant figurative headwinds influencing this year’s Show, but those are widely discussed elsewhere. Our duty here was merely to document, and that is what we did to the tune of more than 1,500 photos, below.
Enjoy!

Interesting photos from the Mallorca Open
Thanks to our friends at SMS_on_Tour for sending along some shots from last week’s Mallorca Open at Golf Santa Ponsa.
Denmark’s Jeff Winther topped a trio of players at 14 under (and some trouble in a bathroom) to win.
Let’s take a look at some interesting photos!
First up, Ashley Chesters with a Nike Vapor Fly 5-wood in the bag.

Twitter sensation Eddie Pepperell is one of the few pros we’ve spotted with a TaylorMade 300 Mini Driver in play.

Scott Hend’s wedges feature some fantastic stamping.

An original White Hot 2-Ball in the wild. The real OG!

Mitsubishi Kai’li (which officially launched today) spotted here.

Scott Hend with the pink paintfill on his Toulon Palm Beach.

Jazz Janewattanond’s wedge stamping never disappoints (even if often confounds)

Enough with the Team Reed stuff, he’s already annoying and he’s only been playing well for 6 months. Team “Wife is Shopping for Reality Show”

Totally agree. Now that he made those comments, he is going to be expected to be in contention to win more tournaments, and if/when he doesn’t live up to that, I think it will come back to bite him.
