Belen Mozo signs with Callaway Golf

Published

on

Callaway Golf announced on Wednesday via Twitter that Belen Mozo has officially signed with Team Callaway.

The news shouldn’t be terribly shocking, since the Spaniard was playing a Callaway driver, Callaway fairway woods and Callaway irons for most of 2014. She joins Lydia Ko, Morgan Pressel, Yani Tseng, and Vicky Hurst among others as Callaway’s LPGA brand ambassadors.

Mozo appears to be fitting in just fine with her new work colleagues at Callaway.

The 26-year old from Cadiz, Spain, who turned professional in 2011, is ranked No. 120 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. Her best career finish was a T4 at the 2014 Manulife Financial LPGA Classic, and she represented Team Spain in the 2014 International Crown, who won the event.

He played on the Hawaii Pacific University Men's Golf team and earned a Masters degree in Communications. He also played college golf at Rutgers University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.

It’s obvious Callaway is trying to market their products based on her looks although I don’t see why guys think she’s attractive. She has total butter face and is stick and bones. I’ll pass.

It’s not just about world ranking, especially in women’s sports.

When you make a recruitment, an important parameter to look after is, too me, the potential of the person and what level this person can reach.

Yes all this is correct (rankings, potential etc) but also marketability. It could be that Callaway Golf feels they need exposure say in her home market and will use her to expand the brand recognition. Also note that we dont even know what the terms are for the sponsorship. In monetary terms it could be limited with bonuses for wins or top10/top25 placements. My background is Strategic Marketing/Management.

GolfWRX is on site for the second major of 2026: The PGA Championship from Aronimink in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

The tournament’s location, just outside Philadelphia, and its status as a major championship mean GolfWRXers are in for a treat: WITBs from a strong field, custom gear celebrating the PGA Championship, and the rich culture of the City of Brotherly Love — we have noted a relative absence of cheesesteak-themed items thus far this week, but most of the rest of the usual suspects are well represented.
