Wells Fargo Championship Photos

Published

on

GolfWRX is live this week from the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, N.C. The course will play as a par-72 measuring 7,562 yards for the event.

The field this week is set to include Rory McIlroy, ranked No. 1 in the Official World Golf Rankings, Henrik Stenson (No. 3), Jim Furyk (No. 5), defending champion J.B. Holmes (No. 13), Patrick Reed (No. 15) and Phil Mickelson (No. 18).

Last year, Holmes managed to hold off Furyk by one stroke despite bogeys on hole Nos. 16 and 18. The closing three holes at Quail Hollow, named the “Green Mile,” are considered one of the toughest closing stretches on the PGA Tour.

GolfWRX is on site for the second major of 2026: The PGA Championship from Aronimink in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

The tournament’s location, just outside Philadelphia, and its status as a major championship mean GolfWRXers are in for a treat: WITBs from a strong field, custom gear celebrating the PGA Championship, and the rich culture of the City of Brotherly Love — we have noted a relative absence of cheesesteak-themed items thus far this week, but most of the rest of the usual suspects are well represented.
