I’m sorry, love the dude, but wedges “52 degrees bent to 51.6, 56 bent to 55.3” is simply pretentious.

Is there a toe weight in the G30? Or is the 3g reference to hot melt, that is injected so that it settles in the toe?

Love the fact that his s55 irons do not have the chrome plating just the old fashion Ping tumble finish. I would own a set if they could be ordered that way. The s59 and s58 irons were like that

    19* 7 wood? Hmmmmm I think that would be a 5 wood!

      Jul 20, 2015 at 6:43 pm

They are basing it on the length which is now considered a 7 wood. I guess they should technically say quasi 6 wood (loft of a 5 wood and length of a 7 wood).

It might well be a 23-degree head that is cranked so open that the effective loft is decreased to 19.

Maybe he does get his irons bent 10 degrees open. Look at the picture with the back of the 5 iron . Looks like its has a ripple in it. Never seen so many alterations. How do you get 12 layers of tape under a grip?

Yeah I’m with stk on this one. I believe it’s just the way the install the grips. I’m pretty sure you can’t bend really any club that much especially a cast iron it would break.

I have done it my self, I have regripped thousands of clubs and it’s not easy! The ping grips are actually the easiest to stretch except the cord ping grip ‘

You’re probably the guy that told him to hit a 4 iron punch under the tree from ther right rough.

Your right, he can hand them out to bleeding crybabies like you who like to heckle golfers but don’t expect a reply back, Bubbas no sissy, he will give you what you give him! Go back to NASCAR moron, we don’t need idiots like you on here or the golf course… I am sure if the roles were reversed and you were a pro golfer you would get sick of all the stupid morons and their iphone pics in mid swing, and completely stupid remarks before and after a shot every round! Get a life loser!

The 10 degrees open on his irons isn’t a bend, it is the way the grips are installed. He uses a ribbed grip, but has them installed with the spine 10* off, not in the standard position directly back. So in effect they are standard irons with the grips installed wrong (well wrong for most of us).

I thought the same thing. I couldn’t wrap my head around irons bent 10 degrees open…didn’t make sense to me. I thought it must be the way he has his grips ribbed. Glad you wrote this!

He really gets his Irons bent open that much? The effective loft would be so so much less, ( If I remember correctly its about 0.6* loft change every 1* of being bent open) I could be wrong but I would think it would really mess up the lofts, ie a 27* 5iron would have an effective loft of around 21*.

      Jun 28, 2015 at 10:45 pm

other way around, opening the irons wouldn’t take off loft haha

Actually….u r the one who is wrong. U should check out your info before tossing out haha’s, as u r the one being laughed at now. The key word used is effective loft. Closing a face adds effective loft as opening a face reduces it. There is this awesome new search engine called Google….u should try it!
