In addition to distance performance, the Exotics mini emphasizes forgiveness through a heavier stainless-steel body that shifts mass toward the perimeter. This configuration increases MOI relative to traditional all-titanium mini drivers, helping preserve ball speed and directional stability on off-center strikes. Paired with Pyramid Face Technology from the Exotics metalwood line, the design is intended to support consistent speed across the face.

To further enhance MOI, a lightweight carbon fiber crown frees additional mass that is strategically repositioned low and deep in the head in design to improve stability and promote optimal launch with controlled spin.

Srixon ZXi combo or TaylorMade P7CB/770 combo? – GolfWRXers discuss
In our forums, our members have been pitting a Srixon ZXi combo against a TaylorMade P7CB/770 combo. WRXer ‘edutch22’ is on the hunt for a new set of irons and kicks off the thread saying:
“Looking at picking up a new set of irons and think I’ve narrowed it down to Srixon ZXi combo or Taylormade P7CB/770 combo. I am currently a 5 cap and allbeit I feel irons are my weakness. My miss is a little to the toe side. I am decently steep at 4-5 down. Always thought I am high spin but recently on trackman my 7 was spinning at 5800 roughly.
My question or looking for thoughts on which one would benefit me more from a forgiveness standpoint? Or is there another iron is should be looking at entirely? I only get to play about once or twice a week, if I am not playing a 2-3 day event. Thanks in advance.”

I had the chance to hit these and the 716s yesterday. I did not like the look, at all. And I am one that if I am not fully comfortable with the way the club looks it unreasonably effects the way I hit it. However this club performed extremely well. Ill be honest I think the pictures make it look better than it does in person, but it out performed the 915f for me, it out performed my current club and it out performed everything else overall, the callaways and taylormades were a bit longer, but these were for more accurate for me and Ill take that any day. Ill get over the look, Im putting my order in for these.

I just had an opportunity to hit the new 716 ap2 and the 816 hybrid this past week. Pics don’t do the new clubs justice. Ap2 had the new amt shaft and was a great performer. Likewise, the hybrid was better than my 915 and the color and finish looked really good.

What in the world has happened to Titleist.
Everything coming out of the new line is cheap looking and half attempts at copying other companies. Even the same 816 name as Callaway. Wow. I did not expect this. They’ve gone away from their core business values and strategy. Disappointing.

Their main business strategy has always been focusing on the sales of Pro V1s (and maybe FJ shoes and gloves); clubs are their secondary concern.

lol. I commented about how great the old gray metalflake paint looked in a thread on the Forum page (think 975 era), and got lots of upvotes and nice pm’s.
To each his own, I guess. Give me classic gray metalflake and a plain stainless face, thank you very much.

Wow, glad I decided to pull the trigger on the 915 woods and hybrid. These are the ugliest hybrids I have seen. Good luck with selling them.

Looks like something designed to fit into a super GI set of irons. Very un-titleist and, honestly, just not very pretty. Metallic grey crown is about 3 years out of date too.

I fall into the camp of liking the flat grey, it is similar in color to the Callaway Xhot2 driver and fairway wood, and the Adams pro hybrids. I personally find high gloss clubs to be problematic in that they are gauranteed to reflect sunlight, creating a bright glare spot and distraction on the club at address. Flat finishs mute that. As for the 716 AP2’s… I’ll stick wiht my 714’s… the new ones are unnecessarily busy, and I doubt they perform in a noticably different way.
