2015 Quicken Loans National Photos

Published

on

GolfWRX is live from the 2015 Quicken Loans National hosted by Tiger Woods at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Va. The course, which will play as a par-71 measuring 7,385 yards, holds the event for the first time — Aronimink Golf Club and Congressional Country Club have previously held the Quicken Loans.

The field this week is set to include headliner and host Tiger Woods, Justin Rose, the world’s No. 7-ranked golfer in the Official World Golf Rankings, Rickie Fowler (No. 8) and Jimmy Walker (No. 14).

Last year, Rose won the event with a par on the first hole of a playoff after Shawn Stefani hit his approach shot into the water on hole No. 18 at Congressional.

The Phene’d and Hzrdus? What is going on with these ridiculously named and misspelled shafts? Didn’t companies learn anything from the Rocketballz fiasco? I’m just waiting on the Diamana Shankalicious+ or the Graphite Design AD Dayum Yo!

It’s not me….well, I asked why they posted that pic of Tiger as it was a pic from the open….part 2 had tiger pictures…
It’s a compliment someone is posting using my name….although most of the “fake me” posts are odd…which, sadly, is not entirely different than my actual posts…
But to this point in my life I have never referred to myself in the third person…

The photo that was posted was not from the Open. All the Tiger photos posted were shot at the 2015 Quicken Loans National at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, by me!

Photos from the 2022 PGA Show

Published

GolfWRX was on site for the golf business’s annual winter rite: the PGA Merchandise Show.

While the weather was less than cooperative for demo day, there were no such difficulties inside the Orange County Convention Center. This isn’t to say there weren’t significant figurative headwinds influencing this year’s Show, but those are widely discussed elsewhere. Our duty here was merely to document, and that is what we did to the tune of more than 1,500 photos, below.

Interesting photos from the Mallorca Open

Published

on

Thanks to our friends at SMS_on_Tour for sending along some shots from last week’s Mallorca Open at Golf Santa Ponsa.

Denmark’s Jeff Winther topped a trio of players at 14 under (and some trouble in a bathroom) to win.

Let’s take a look at some interesting photos!

First up, Ashley Chesters with a Nike Vapor Fly 5-wood in the bag.

Twitter sensation Eddie Pepperell is one of the few pros we’ve spotted with a TaylorMade 300 Mini Driver in play.

Scott Hend’s wedges feature some fantastic stamping.

An original White Hot 2-Ball in the wild. The real OG!

Mitsubishi Kai’li (which officially launched today) spotted here.

Scott Hend with the pink paintfill on his Toulon Palm Beach.

Jazz Janewattanond’s wedge stamping never disappoints (even if often confounds)
