Their driving range ball prices are strange. The more balls you buy the more they cost per ball. Haha. Usually, the more you buy the less the cost per ball.

The warning sign at the first tee of the Black has become famous, but I’m surprised nobody has commented or posted a picture of the old sign from the 70’s. As a teenager in the early 70’s I used to play the Black for 3 bucks on a weekday! Ironically, it was the easiest course to get on (shortest waiting time) because many didn’t want to play it. The sign back then read, “….. which is not recommended for beginners”. When the sign was changed to “highly skilled golfers” it lost a lot of its charm. Maybe some oldtimer can find and post a picture of it. I wish I pulled the original out of the trash back then as I’m sure it would be museum material today, or worth big bucks to a collector.

Photos from the 2026 PGA Championship

GolfWRX is on site for the second major of 2026: The PGA Championship from Aronimink in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

The tournament’s location, just outside Philadelphia, and its status as a major championship mean GolfWRXers are in for a treat: WITBs from a strong field, custom gear celebrating the PGA Championship, and the rich culture of the City of Brotherly Love — we have noted a relative absence of cheesesteak-themed items thus far this week, but most of the rest of the usual suspects are well represented.
