Dustin Johnson and Paulina Gretzky’s second son born

Published

on

ESPN Senior Writer Ian O’Connor nabbed himself a smartphone-era exclusive on the birth of Dustin Johnson’s second son.

Reports indicated Paulina Gretzky was scheduled for a Monday C-section. And while Team Johnson hasn’t made an official announcement, O’Connor received (and was surely authorized to share) this photo of the newborn baby boy.

How’d he get it? According to O’Connor, a long-serving sportswriter with a thick rolodex, Art Whisnant, a former L.A. Laker/Dustin Johnson’s grandfather, sent it his way.

The child is Johnson and Gretzky’s second. Their first-born, Tatum, is two.

Johnson is expected to arrive at Erin Hills some time today, and he’s slated for a Wednesday press conference. Last year’s U.S. Open winner, DJ has already practiced at Erin Hills, making a stop after his missed cut at the Memorial.

And, of course, we’d be treated to a most poetic narrative for the new father to win the tournament that ends on Father’s Day (a fact you’ll hear no less than 1,000 times during telecast).

Johnson is scheduled to tee off Erin Hills’ 10th hole Thursday at 9:35 a.m. with Jordan Spieth and Martin Kaymer.

GolfWRX is on site for the second major of 2026: The PGA Championship from Aronimink in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

The tournament’s location, just outside Philadelphia, and its status as a major championship mean GolfWRXers are in for a treat: WITBs from a strong field, custom gear celebrating the PGA Championship, and the rich culture of the City of Brotherly Love — we have noted a relative absence of cheesesteak-themed items thus far this week, but most of the rest of the usual suspects are well represented.
