Winn-Dixie Open – Pics from TPC Sawgrass’ other gem

Published

on

GolfWRX is at the Winn-Dixie Jacksonville Open at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., the home of the PGA Tour. Most golfers know that TPC Sawgrass is home the famous Stadium Course where the Tour’s best slug it out in The Players Championship. But there’s another Pete Dye course at TPC Sawgrass, The Valley, that will host this week’s Web.com Tour event.

There’s no island green on The Valley course, but the course has plenty of teeth. The Bermuda rough is long and thick and the greens are firm and fast. Whoever wins this week will have endured a serious test of golf.

Friday’s Buzz: Diego Velazquez, Troy Merrit, Andres Gonzales, Grant Waite, Tag Ridings, Jeff Klauk, Skip Kendall Fred Funk, Aaron Price, Woody Austin, Josh Broadaway, Patrick Cantlay and Kevin Tway. Don’t miss shots of the TPC Sawgrass clubhouse, as well as the sights around the tournament.

GolfWRX is on site for the second major of 2026: The PGA Championship from Aronimink in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

The tournament’s location, just outside Philadelphia, and its status as a major championship mean GolfWRXers are in for a treat: WITBs from a strong field, custom gear celebrating the PGA Championship, and the rich culture of the City of Brotherly Love — we have noted a relative absence of cheesesteak-themed items thus far this week, but most of the rest of the usual suspects are well represented.
