WATCH: Your “feel” for the required golf shot is critical
You are standing over the ball and getting ready to pull the trigger; what type of shot are you feeling? The feel you focus on to deliver the shot to the target is critical to pulling off the shot! If you are not choosing the sensation you wish to match to the shot at hand, then you are letting the architect of the golf course, your opponent, your fear or your distraction choose for you. See how critical and essential this step is to your score in this video.

Club Junkie WITB, week 15: Tied for first in league!
Right now, I am tied for first place in my league! Don’t worry, the wheels will fall off as we get further into the year, but let’s keep the train rolling with 14 brand new clubs this week. We are off on the back nine again, so the driver is back in, and the 7-wood is out, as the course dictates what clubs I tend not to use. Excited to get these New Level irons out there and see if I can catch some of that driver magic I had down at Pinehurst with the Wilson Dynapwr+.

Is this about physical feel or mental feel, or both? Sometimes my emotional feelings mess up my swing. Towards the end of the round it seems like fatigue ruins my feel, particularly putting feel.

GREAT video! I do that with putting and it works great… I pre-set my brain on the practice stroke, letting the weight of the putter contribute to a nice, clear feel and a low-effort (non-tense) putt.
Unfortunately, I never thought to bring that mind-set to the fairway as I lack the skills to adjust the height of my flight beyond bump-and-run or, often unsuccessfully, trying to clear a tree.
Any videos on altering altitude, esp for slower (6 iron carry is 140)swingers?
Again, GREAT video.

Yes it is a great video because it’s based on brain science and what happens in the brain as you focus on the task at hand. This is a ‘how to’ video and the next video is about comparing what you intended and what happened. Good work Shawn.

Shawn always comes up with good instruction and golf swing theory based on science. Keep up with the research into how the mind/brain affects the golf swing.
