Club Junkie’s Titleist GTS driver fitting results!
On this episode of the Club Junkie Podcast, I head to the Titleist Performance Institute for a full driver fitting with the new Titleist GTS lineup. We dive into the fitting process, talk about what made the biggest difference in performance, and break down how the different GTS heads and shaft combinations compare on the launch monitor. If you are thinking about a new driver setup for this season, there is a lot to take away from this one.
I also get into Brooks Koepka and the gear setup he brought to the PGA Championship, including the putters that caught my eye during the week. There are some interesting equipment trends showing up at the highest level right now and we break down what stands out.
To wrap things up, I talk about reshafting a few wedges, what I learned during the process, and swapping an adaptor onto a new shaft for another build project in the shop. A gear packed episode from start to finish for anyone who loves golf equipment and club building.

A putter that I love and hate – Club Junkie Podcast
In this episode of the Club Junkie Podcast, we dive into one of the most interesting flatstick releases of the year with a full review of the new TaylorMade SYSTM 2 putters. After spending time on the greens, I break down what makes this design stand out, where it performs, and why it has me completely torn between loving it and fighting it. If you are into feel, alignment, and consistency, this is one you will want to hear about.
We also take a look at some of the putters in play on the PGA Tour last week. From familiar favorites to a few surprising setups, there is always something to learn from what the best players in the world are rolling with under pressure.
To wrap things up, I walk through the process of building a set of JP Golf Prime irons paired with Baddazz Gold Series shafts. From component selection to performance goals, this is a deep dive into what goes into creating a unique custom set and why this combo has been so intriguing.

She’s an attention who*e who constantly needs validation. With that nose she is a 7 out of 10 at the most. If she did not have the fake ta ta’s and blonde hair she would be a 6 maybe. Anyways the wall is coming for Paige, if she doesn’t wize up she will have to marry an old man. Or even worse burn the coal via mud sharking.

She’s hot, sweet and great eye candy. By all means, she should make every penny she can off it because her golf game will never earn her much more than I can pull in from a $20 Nassau on Saturday morning.

Less than a handful of LPGA players could cash in on their looks, and Paige is one of them. So why not? The day will come when she won’t earn income from golf, and from her looks as well, so why not cash in while has a chance? As for whether or not her modeling is “good for the game” or whether or not she’s a negative role model for junior girl golfers is entirely irrelevant. She owes golf nothing and she owes young golfers nothing. It’s her life, and her choice, and none of anyone else’s business.

Shut up… was Danica Patrick trying to grow NASCAR by doing the SI Swimsuit issue… let the girl do her thing, she tried to play that failed because people like you all. Good lord, if she wants to use her platform to model then who gives a dam?
Robert

She failed because of us? LOL, just LOL. She failed because she doesn’t have what she needs to have to compete with the best. Got a couple of sponsor exemptions and wasted them horribly. Looks don’t play.

I’m on instagram. You know how many girls “golfer” are on it? I don’t know 99.9% will never make it on LET, LPGA or whatever tours they have. They are living a good life though. Traveling, playing good course, attending PGA events and stuff. Help growing the game? I don’t think so, nice to look at? For sure.

According to the AMA, doctors now diagnose obesity a disease. I see many diseased male golfers on the golf course attempting to swing a golf club with their non-golfing bodies. Page is just showing us what a female golf body looks like, and it looks good for golf and viewing. Just suck it up fellas.

Before you can diagnose obesity as a “disease”, a medical doctor should be trained in clinical nutrition, which they are not. Obesity is sadness, emptiness, loneliness, all in epidemic proportions in America. If doctors learned preventive medicine instead of reactionary chemical poisoning, America wouldn’t be so sad, depressed, and obese.

Young girls are looking at her and asking questions of their parents whether it’s OK to be mediocre at playing golf but more important to have large breasts and a whiny voice and better at moaning on social media making easy money that way than actually achieving victories in golf, thanks to her.
DaveJ

You have an odd definition of mediocre. Mediocre would be like a 12-16 handicap. She is likely a scratch. I hope my daughters think it is OK to be mediocre at golf, otherwise they might as well not even bother taking up the sport because the chances of being better than 9 handicap are pretty long unless all you do is golf and I wouldn’t want that for them.

Feb 9, 2018 at 1:47 pm
I fully agree Dave. I’ve been mediocre at golf for about 25 years and I still enjoy it. I hope my daughter does to. In my opinion, women like Paige are just what golf needs to grow the game. I follow her on Instagram and she looks like she has a lot of fun playing golf. She’s not afraid to show herself screwing up and she’s not afraid of showing emotion pulling off a tough shot. The fact is, golf is fading. Women and girls are the largest pool of potential golfers. Why is it a bad thing to have someone they can relate to showing them how the game can be fun? I simply don’t understand the hate. Mediocre golfer? She had a banner amateur career and has a win as a pro! Just showing off her looks? Why not? Should she play in an ankle length dress? I want to know how many of the keyboard commandos that put her down would giddy if they were paired up with her for 18 on a random course. We’re talking about a person who worked extremely hard to become a pro golfer for a lot of years and then step away. I can’t imagine how hard it would be to come that close to a goal and realize it’s not really what you wanted. I’d feel pretty lost I think. She obviously loves golf and she found a different way to stay in golf while helping people enjoy the game. I think that’s pretty cool. Instead of asking if she’s good for golf or helping to grow the game, the proper question should be “Why is she seen as such a threat?”.

In the context of professional golf, Paige is below mediocre.
JARED BRANT
Feb 8, 2018 at 1:17 am
She only posts pictures of her holding her backswing and bedroom selfies. For all of these random professionals from other sports getting sponsor exempts to play in Pro golf events, you’d think she’d be trying harder to get into tournaments as well, since she is a golfer.

Feb 7, 2018 at 6:46 pm
Hey Paige! Less time with the mirror and camera and more time practicing. Get that narcissistic personality disorder treated. Golfers may then take you more seriously and give you the respect you seek. PS. There is no such thing as cyberbullying. Unplug and ignore. Respect is earned. Didn’t you learn all this by the time you were 12?
DaveJ
Feb 9, 2018 at 10:50 am
You are pretty out of touch if you don’t think there is such a thing as cyber-bullying. I don’t understand where all of the hate towards her comes from. She isn’t good enough to make the LPGA or Euro Tour, but she still is easily in the top .1% of all golfers in the world and likely would beat nearly every guy that frequents this site.
Dave
Feb 7, 2018 at 5:33 pm
If she were more of a figure on the LPGA tour I would say yes but obviously that’s not the case. She’ll grow it about as much as Paulina Gretzky has with her photo shoots. I assume this is a rhetorical question……….

She’s nothing more than an Instagram creation. Doubt any golfer on the LPGA takes her seriously. Maybe she’ll end up winning a few participation trophies at best.
