TG2: An in-depth analysis of the new Titleist TS2 and TS3 drivers
Titleist announced new TS2 and TS3 drivers at the 2018 U.S. Open, and we captured photos of both clubs. Equipment expert Brian Knudson and Editor Andrew Tursky take a deep dive into the photos to speculate what’s different about the new drivers compared to the previous 917D2 and 917D3 models from 2016. Also, the guys offer their picks to win the 2018 U.S. Open, and discuss Jason Dufner’s WITB.

A putter that I love and hate – Club Junkie Podcast
In this episode of the Club Junkie Podcast, we dive into one of the most interesting flatstick releases of the year with a full review of the new TaylorMade SYSTM 2 putters. After spending time on the greens, I break down what makes this design stand out, where it performs, and why it has me completely torn between loving it and fighting it. If you are into feel, alignment, and consistency, this is one you will want to hear about.
We also take a look at some of the putters in play on the PGA Tour last week. From familiar favorites to a few surprising setups, there is always something to learn from what the best players in the world are rolling with under pressure.
To wrap things up, I walk through the process of building a set of JP Golf Prime irons paired with Baddazz Gold Series shafts. From component selection to performance goals, this is a deep dive into what goes into creating a unique custom set and why this combo has been so intriguing.

TS3 is their lowest spinning head yet. Solid metal. All Black, simple designs, good sound, I prefer a little duller. Best reduction in sidespin I have ever tested.
Going in my bag.

I’m thinking the will have some Jailbreak type construction or similar. Look for this to be a big release for them.

Wish Titleist Drivers would be lower spinning and have higher ballspeed….thats what they need to do and I’m sure it will be amazing and it will actually get them more sales…

Or if you are a low spin high launch guy like me they need to spin a bit more….. Everyone is different, saying they need to do one thing to fix their driver line is really not a valid statement, it’s a personal reference.

Callaway has run away with the equipment market and hid…especially with Drivers. Titleist and TM have lots of catching up to do to stay relevant..Ping is closer and Ive seen a few more of them around this season by Jailbreak still rules.
My Epic is still just that and with my improved swing recently its even more so than ever and its been in the bag for 16 mths and counting now….A new record!

I have. It is cash money. Beast. Almost feels like cheating.

I’m not a fan of the way a carbon crown driver sounds/feels. Yes, my numbers are better with the Rogue, but when I demoed one on the course, it was so unsatisfying. I didn’t even hit it the back nine. I recently hit a friend’s Ping G400. It sounded great! That’s my next driver. (Probably the last)
