i just sold my v6 irons….loved look and feel. as a high ball hitter they simply spun too much for my needs. Although i just played erin hills with them after some rain the extra spin not necessary. also i delofted to a more aggresive loft and still too spinny for me. basically 7000 spin with 7-iron. most newer irons are 5500-6300. i just played wilson forged c300 and the spin on those were a tad low side 5200 so i had a ton of fliers. sucks cause i loved both irons….

Your ‘love’ of your iron club is admirable… so romantic… so sick…

If you hit a “cut” with a rusty iron, will you need to get a tetanus shot?

Is there anyway to prevent rust on raw clubs?

It really isn’t a very good idea to apply any type of mixture containing salt or sodium chloride to steel. The combination of moisture, oxygen, and salt eats away and corrodes steel much faster than most people would want. Depends on how long you want to keep those irons I suppose…

If you want rust, wrap in a wet paper towel.
For me, I hate oxidation. It looks like an uncared-for club to me, but I’m weird.

Do Wilson engineers compensate groove dimension to take into account the changes from rust buildup and shedding? The USGA and R&A will investigate any violations, infringements, contraventions and felonies to the Rules of Golf !!!

OK..
LH V6 irons available-“choose the custom option”- but no LH FG Tour 100 Forged irons?
None?
Who at Wilson decided to skip making a LH version of the “Centennial Model” forged iron?

Checked them out on their site. They are great looking irons and I dig the raw option. Whats kinda crazy is that they are $99 more. Seems like removing the chrome plating process should reduce the cost to build, so I assume the up-charge is for the cool factor?

… you have to pay for “”performance””… even though it may only be in your imagination…

Put some hydrochloric acid into a plastic bottle
Dissolve a little copper in the hydrochloric acid
Dilute the copper and acid solution with a bit of water
Clean your Iron heads thoroughly
Apply the acid solution
Allow the metal to rust
Done!
