Yes… very incredibly important club designs… so incredibly important that it has changed the face of golf… not the clubhead face… the clubhead rear end. (_!_)

I’ve traded emails with Mr. Sheets on several topics about club design through the years. He has always been extremely helpful and friendly.
Interesting that the big companies are now budding fairway woods very similar to his and Wishon’s designs at Golfsmith.

All the wannabes and gearheads think the back of the clubhead design will elevate their game. What they should do is stand naked in front of a mirror and ask themselves:”Does that body have a golfswing in it??” 8-(

That Top Flite TOUR iron looks an awful lot like the PRGR idBl. Did PRGR steal the design?

Great stories from Jeff Sheets on the people behind the scences as well as those in the public eye.
Sheets has detailed the design of the ’99 Ben Hogan irons on a different website- Can’t name it.
Unfortunately most of Sheets design work has been exclusively RH Only.

Payne Stewart pretty much never got comfortable with Spalding and his game only improved after he got out of that contract. I did have a set of those top-flight irons and I quite liked them while I had them.

Fantastic irons. Best irons on the market at the time, IMHO.
