On this episode of the Club Junkie Podcast, I head to the Titleist Performance Institute for a full driver fitting with the new Titleist GTS lineup. We dive into the fitting process, talk about what made the biggest difference in performance, and break down how the different GTS heads and shaft combinations compare on the launch monitor. If you are thinking about a new driver setup for this season, there is a lot to take away from this one.
I also get into Brooks Koepka and the gear setup he brought to the PGA Championship, including the putters that caught my eye during the week. There are some interesting equipment trends showing up at the highest level right now and we break down what stands out.
To wrap things up, I talk about reshafting a few wedges, what I learned during the process, and swapping an adaptor onto a new shaft for another build project in the shop. A gear packed episode from start to finish for anyone who loves golf equipment and club building.

Disappointed in Kuch. Comes across as a really nice guy then turns out to be an asshole. His snub of Andrew Coltart on the practice ground was shocking – reminded me of that guy in every golf club who thinks he’s better than everyone else simply because his golf game’s better. Fuck him – I’m rescinding that offer I extended to him of tea and crumpets at my Gran’s house.
As for the irons what irons I’d love to see reissued – the Diawa Advisor DG273 blades and the Cleveland Ta5 gunmetals.

I was a great comment when he said he paid him well and hasn’t lost any sleep over it. Now there is the REAL Kucher, Sad with that goofy smile and his aw shucks attitude he appears to be nothing but a phony. Then after it comes out how bad it was he offered another 15 grand, what a jerk. I know these guys are independent contractors but the tour should have a minimum amount for a guy that plus along behind some rich Clown with a 40 lb. bag on his shoulder.

Sorry guys, I’ve only made 46 million in my career. I gave my caddy enough for his “hard” work. He didn’t even read greens for me. My buddy Tiger taught me how to be this cheap. Just to recap for you newbs, Tiger did not even pay for his “date’s” meal at Perkins one of those hundreds of times he cheated on Elin. Even I would have shelled out an extra 3 bucks for my caddy and I to catch a bite at Mcdonalds!
