How do you properly prepare a ferrule on finishes like black oxide, oil can, etc. I have been just prepping the ferrule to fit flush once installed. Is there an easier way of doing this?

Shouldn’t be a huge issue, but you can use a thin piece of masking or scotch tape below the ferrule to protect the oxide and finish from the belt if you’re really worried.

    HI WRXers, Thanks for watching

The belt in question is a standard 1X42″ durabrite belt from Golf Works. Its way easier on the ferrules than a linen one and does a way better job at slowly taking off material.

I think everything would love to know the specs on the belt. Thanks for the video Ryan.

Ryan – what exact sanding belt do you use on your belt sander for this? Where do you purchase it? Thanks
