WOTW: Tom Kim’s Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph in Rose Gold

Tom Kim won his second PGA Tour event at the Shriners Children’s Open this weekend. His final round 66 gave Kim a 3 stroke win over Patrick Cantlay. Kim was presented the crystal trophy and held it high with an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore on his wrist.

Audemars Piguet is regarded as one of the premier watchmakers in the world right now and has been making precision timepieces since 1875. Founded by Jules Audemars and Edward Piguet, the company is still family owned and currently on its fourth-generation members running the company. In 1992 the Royal Oak Offshore was introduced as the larger and more capable version of the iconic Royal Oak.

Kim’s Royal Oak Offshore has a 43mm case that is made from 18-carat pink gold and a caseback window made from sapphire crystal. The right side of the case features the black ceramic screw-down crown and pushers to run the chronograph movement. On top of the case is the classic octagon Royal Oak Offshore bezel, sitting on a large rubber gasket. The bezel is made from scratch resistant black ceramic and held down with 8 hex screws. A sapphire crystal covers the Black Méga Tapisserie dial and pink gold Royal Oak hands, filled with luminescent material. This Méga Tapisserie has a slightly different pattern with the corners of the raised squares now being connected. The date window sites at 4:30 and the silver subdials are at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. Their is a black inner bezel with a tachymeter scale around some pink gold hour markers.

Inside this Offshore is Audemars Piguet’s Calibre 4401 self-winding automatic movement. The 4401 contains a balance bridge that holds the balance in place and offers more support agains shocks. The Calibre 4401 contains 40 jewels and offers 70 hours of power reserve. The 4401 is a fly-back chronograph meaning you don’t have to stop the chronograph before resetting it. Eight screws hold the display-back caseback in place so you can view the movement and its rotor.

A black rubber strap with matching pink gold pin buckle holds the Offshore on the wrist. The strap connects to the watch case with 2 small pink gold lugs. The straps are interchangeable without tools and the watch comes with a more dressy Black Alligator strap as well.

These Audemars Piguet Offshore watches have become pretty desirable and pink gold has been one of the hottest materials to get your hands on. At retail this Offshore goes for $63,700 if you can get one from your AP dealer. Expect to pay a small premium, around $$2,000, on the secondary market if you can’t wait and need one now.

What is Lorem Ipsum?

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Why do we use it?

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).

2026 PGA Championship betting odds

Scottie Scheffler leads the betting ahead of the second major championship of the year, with the World Number One a +345 favorite to get his hands on a second PGA Championship.

Rory McIlroy who won the Masters back in April is a +800 shot to complete half of the calendar slam at Aronimink Golf Club this week, while Jordan Spieth can be backed at +5900 to become a career grand slam winner.

GolfWRX is on site for the second major of 2026: The PGA Championship from Aronimink in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

The tournament’s location, just outside Philadelphia, and its status as a major championship mean GolfWRXers are in for a treat: WITBs from a strong field, custom gear celebrating the PGA Championship, and the rich culture of the City of Brotherly Love — we have noted a relative absence of cheesesteak-themed items thus far this week, but most of the rest of the usual suspects are well represented.
