Fine vintages, the Champions of stamping (Wedge Stamping Caviar)

Published

on

Pop open a tin of the finest beluga, GolfWRXers! But really, it’s less jelly-like substance, more richness of intrigue here. No salt-cured roe at Wedge Stamping Caviar, as we present to you some of the finest instances of hammer-and-stamp work spotted among the seasoned golfers of the PGA Tour Champions.

Grab your mother-of-pearl spoon and dig in — with restraint, please. And be sure to check out the rest of our WITB galleries when you’re done.

Like caviar and toast, wedge stamping and lead tape are a timeless combination. Jesper Parnevik’s custom Artisan job here.

Speaking of timeless, senior superman Bernhard Langer has been rolling with this Cleveland RTX wedge since the dawn of Iron Age, it seems. I’ll see your hammer and stamp and raise you a Sharpie.

Dancing initials are always a solid play — ditto, pink paintfill. Jason Caron’s Vokey here.

Left-handed Traditional, bent a degree weak. Nicely played, Mike Weir.

Another serving of the Traditional: Stewart Cink’s 62-degree Vokey.

Why can Bernhard play a 54 for ages when we are all told to buy news Wedges every year?
