Rory McIlroy’s victory at the 2021 Wells Fargo Championship 2021 (now the Truist Championship) marked a significant return to form, as he captured his 19th PGA Tour title. After starting the tournament slowly and sitting well off the pace early, McIlroy surged back into contention with strong weekend play, ultimately closing with a final-round 68 to finish at 10-under par.

No one includes Tyrell Hatton in the group of players that AK beat, but he was right there. Tyrell is a premier player. AK’s win was really big.

Tiger in 2019. Mickelson at Kiawah in ‘21. Lindsey Vonn making an Olympic appearance. Sam Darnold winning a Super Bowl. We have been treated to some AMAZING comeback stories in recent times, but Anthony Kim winning yesterday, is the most amazing, in my opinion. While him returning last season was a “nice” story & him earning a card this year was even better, him WINNING an event is truly remarkable. The only way he “ups” this is by winning a major in the near future. I certainly was a naysayer & while I applauded his effort at no point did I believe he would hoist a trophy over his head! In this situation I am glad to be proven wrong. He stated his intent and simply went to work with one outcome in mind, a W. Congratulations Anthony, I am happy for you, your family, & every golf fan, as this is the greatest comeback we’ve ever seen, in any sport, in my humble opinion.

AK was glorious as were rahm and the professor of golf… AK was flawless, rahm and bd took the payoff to be at or near par. Showbusiness is great and money talks. Congratuations AK, that was an epic 4 days.
Loved AK pulling irons to victory. Bravo!

That was a stunning final round showdown. I would never have guessed he would close the gap on a five shot deficit and win by three, but he pulled it off. Simply amazing and inspiring.

What a final round!?!? Walked right into the Lion’s den with Rahm and DeChambeau and put foot to ass. Rahm and DeChambeau looked shell shocked. Great win for Kim, great day for golf, what a story!!!
