Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Kristoffer Reitan held his nerve at Quail Hollow on Sunday to claim his first PGA Tour victory and the $3.6 million winner’s check that came with it. The Norwegian fended off a packed leaderboard on a dramatic final day, with Rickie Fowler and Nicolai Højgaard both taking home $1.76 million for their runner-up finishes.

How Justin Thomas is taking putting inspiration from Cam Young

After trading out his gamer Scotty Cameron Futura 5 putter over the weekend at the RBC Heritage for his back-up Newport 2 GSS blade, Justin Thomas tried the swap for another week at the Cadillac Championship. After a less-than-successful stint in the bag (Thomas lost 5.761 SG: Putting), the blade was left in his garage, and Thomas spent time early in the week in Charlotte deciding on what to use on the greens at Quail Hollow.

Needing some inspiration, Thomas went with what works best for arguably the hottest golfer on the Tour right now.

“His instruction was, give me the exact putter that Cam (Young) has,” Brad Cloke, Scotty Cameron Tour Rep, told GolfWRX. “So a lot of these guys are influenced by when guys are performing well and want to see their specs. The good thing is it’s not a very foreign stretch from what JT’s played in the past. It’s really kind of a culmination of everything he’s played. He’s played a 9R in the 9.2 last year. He’s played the little jet neck in that 5.5, so it’s just kind of bringing everything together for him.”

Funnily enough, Thomas had a stint with the 9.2R last year across the pond after taking the putter from his good friend Jordan Spieth. This time around, the difference with Young’s 9.5R is the jet neck that Thomas has played in the past. The other major change for Thomas is how the putter lines up for him.

“The Phantom 9.5, he actually aimed better and a lot of it too, as Cam (Young) plays a long sight line and JT on the Futura 5 has a little bit shorter line,” Cloke added. “He mentioned to me that he felt that the longer line helps him line up, especially some left-to-righters. Helped him out a little bit.”
