2015 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational Photos

GolfWRX is live from the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club (South) in Akron, Ohio. The course — which has hosted the invitational since 1976, besides one year — measures 7,400 yards and will play as a par 70 for the event.

The field is expectedly strong, since invites aren’t easy to come by. The top golfers in the world are set to play, including Jordan Spieth, ranked No. 2 in the Official World Golf Rankings, Bubba Watson (No. 3), Jason Day (No. 4), Rickie Fowler (No. 5) and 2015 Open Champion Zach Johnson (No. 12). Defending Invitational champion Rory McIlroy (No. 1) will not be in the field due to injury, however.

Also missing from the field is eight-time WGC-Bridgestone Invitational champion Tiger Woods, who failed to qualify. Woods is currently ranked No. 262 in the OWGR, and did not meet any of the requirements to garner an invitation.

GolfWRX is on site this week for the final event of the 2025 FedEx Cup Playoffs: the Tour Championship

30 players will tee it up this week at East Lake, looking to get their hands on the Tour Championship as well as the FedEx Cup, which comes with a paycheck of $10 million. So far, we have plenty of photos for you to peruse, including Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas and Viktor Hovland WITBs.

GolfWRX was on site for the golf business’s annual winter rite: the PGA Merchandise Show.

While the weather was less than cooperative for demo day, there were no such difficulties inside the Orange County Convention Center. This isn’t to say there weren’t significant figurative headwinds influencing this year’s Show, but those are widely discussed elsewhere. Our duty here was merely to document, and that is what we did to the tune of more than 1,500 photos, below.
