I’m puzzled. How does pulling away from the ball by bobbing up increase clubhead speed? If it’s the pushing into the ground that only increased vertical thrust which is not connected to downswing rotation. Shawn?

Good one Shawn. Keep testifying. You are the Godfather of transverse plane compression. The holy triune of transverse plane compression, sagittal plane compression, and coronal plane balance is the body safe result that the all time greats ended up with because they learned instinctively, letting the body lead the way while the brain cataloged “what hurt and what worked”. Anything else is just inefficient puppeteering which leads to inaccuracy, no trust in thyself, and ultimately…repetitive use injury. Good one Shawn.

… and don’t forget skipping a rock on a pond and cutting dandelions and bamboo shoots… necessary golfswing concepts that unify the golfing theory of everything… 😮

Great vid, Shawn, you explain the complicated science so simplistically with everyday imagery! Now if I could tap into all that ground energy into my body and golf swing with the bobbing action!
