Most interesting photos from Tuesday at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play

Published

on

This week, the PGA Tour is at the Austin Country Club in Austin, Texas, for the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play Championship. GolfWRX was on-site Tuesday to spy a glimpse into the bags of some of the world’s top golfers. The field of 64 is getting ready to battle starting today for the $10.5 million purse with $1.8 million going to the winner.

Don’t forget you can check out all our image galleries in the GolfWRX Tour Equipment forum.

Matt Kuchar’s very custom Bettinardi

Matt’s armlock-style putting requires a very unique setup to create the proper dynamics for great roll, and the most noticeable is the large amount of loft and offset on the head.

Berger’s not quitting on his TaylorMade MC’s

Another week on tour and another week for one of the oldest iron models out there.

Hideki’s inspirational bag of clubs

Hideki Matsuyama is absolutely prolific when it comes to club testing—we counted 14 clubs before even getting to the ones with headcovers—and we can’t forget about all those shafts.

2 thumbs up for the 2 Thumb Grip

Putter grips are one of those things your either test or never change, and for Matt Wallace, he has been having some pretty steady success with his 2 Thumb Grip.

Arnie is forever

A lot of golfers have a great affinity for Arnold Palmer, and Jason Kokrak shows his with a signature Arnie umbrella headcover.

Ryder Cup reps for Fleetwood

2021 is a Ryder Cup year, and for Tommy Fleetwood, he is keeping his 4-1 feeling alive with a European Ryder Cup cover.

Imagine being so good at golf…

You have the exclusive luxury of being sponsored by a chicken company. For Brendon Todd, that is a reality. It is certainly not the most unusual bag sponsor of all time and although it’s fun to joke around, there is nothing funny about Todd’s game, he’s all business, just like his SIK putter.

Bryson’s got graphite

It’s well known by now that Bryson exclusively uses graphite in all his clubs, yes even his putter, and this week he looks to have a few extra driver shafts in the bag just in case.

Is Jason Day a Motorhead fan?

“If you like to gamble, I tell you I’m your man – You win some, lose some, all the same to me”

His Ace of Spades cover could be a nod to the English rockers.

Yeah, I don’t know what this is either

South African Erik Van Rooyen is the 68th ranked player in the world, so who am I to judge whatever this very unusual putting aid is. Do you know?

    Ryan,

Looks like Van Rooyen is using a Gravity Fit training device.

GolfWRX is on site for the second major of 2026: The PGA Championship from Aronimink in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

The tournament’s location, just outside Philadelphia, and its status as a major championship mean GolfWRXers are in for a treat: WITBs from a strong field, custom gear celebrating the PGA Championship, and the rich culture of the City of Brotherly Love — we have noted a relative absence of cheesesteak-themed items thus far this week, but most of the rest of the usual suspects are well represented.
