I have one now … I’m working on it … Took it to the course. BUT – This isn’t a review thread – Just something interesting I ran into with the head.

YES !!! …. That’s a COBRA ZLE wrench in the shot .. I’ll get back to that
SO … I bought this from Kevin J .. It showed up last Friday .. I got home ripped open the box and perused. I was supposed to take the Mrs out for drinks right when I walked in the door – BUT – I HAD !!! to mess with it real quick – just a lil bit
So – I am on my steel kick … So I thought … Well – Lets see how much the head weighs. I weighed a new adapter – 5.5 grams … so without the adapter (I do my final head weight WITH the adapter)
Yes – That is the little screw that is in the head .. and that’s where my discovery started. 1st off I GET SO FREAKING TIRED of OEMs creating their specific tooling for their weight port. Like they all have ninja monks who gaurd the one wrench that can actually remove these weights. Well ….

SO I eyeballed the screw .. Its basically a torx bolt with some useless t** in it to prevent you from using a normal torx … so … here’s all you do – It takes 15 seconds
Take a firm harden steel or stainless screwdriver – The weight port is made of paper thin aluminum and carefully press on the tip at its base from a few angles – and it will pop right off – just take your time – ITS EASY !!!!
Then use a T20 torx bit … and WALLA !!! .. Comes right out. Looks like TMAG applies a TINY bit of blue thread locker – pops right open though. Click here to read the original article in the forums and all the related discussion
A T21 might be a tad snugger in that head – but the T20 works fine
SO … I had the head apart .. and I just kinda stared at it for a second. Keep in mind – My goal is to get the raw head with adapter to the 207-209 gram range … so I needed to port open … but I just looked at the port – and looked at the thread … and I said “SELF – That looks almost identical to the thread pattern and size of a COBRA ZLE weight … so

I grabbed an extra 8 gram COBRA slug … and low and behold IT IS IDENTICAL
Now before anyone freaks out .. I know it isn’t the prettiest way to have a weight sticking out … but this is just to test the weight – and low and behold – an 8 gram ZLE weight – raw RBZ Tour head & adapter will weight exactly 208 grams. So for a test – I can’t go wrong.

add the 5.5 gram adapter – 208 on the nose
ALSO EVEN WIERDER … The TMAG wrench is too big for their own weight screw .. but low and behold – The COBRA wrench is a PERFECT fit – like ZERO play – probably a tru T21 torx – so if you want to mess with you TMAG RBZ – go steal a COBRA ZLE wrench
My 1st quick experiment I have tried with the RBZ Tour is a NV105X at 44 with the 208 gram head combo … I have to say … It is damn good. STUPID LONG. But that is all I will say for now – Let me knock it around for a while – and I am goign to jam some steel in it too.

When buying used irons how much wear is too much? – GolfWRXers discuss

In our forums, our members have been discussing how much wear is too much wear when purchasing used irons. WRXer ‘con_mon2’ is interested in a used set of iron and kicks off the thread, asking:
“Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this! How much wear are you comfortable with?
I found a set of irons on eBay that I am very interested in buying, but they have a bit more wear than I’m comfortable with. I have attached a few pictures showing especially the wear on the sweet spot on the PW and 9 iron. Maybe you can convince me that I’m being too picky and I should just buy them? Or maybe I should be concerned about the wear? I’m not really sure. They are Ping i230s which came out in 2022 so they aren’t that old. And the seller had this to say about the condition: ‘Good: Normal wear for their age. Excellent playing condition but they have cosmetic wear on faces and soles. Sweetspot wear is visible.’
Beyond the cosmetic, I’d really like to know this: At what point do you start to worry about the grooves being so worn that they have a substantial effect on the shots you’re hitting?”

Got my new RBZ Stg2 driver in the mail yesterday. Already had my 20T bit with the hole and immediately tried to remove the weight. SOL. It wouldn’t budge and it stripped. Applied heat (which worked like a charm on my old burner) and tried again with a bigger Allen wrench.
Still in there. I’ve read it weighs 10g, which is substantial. I’ll hit it first but may go at it with progressively larger rill bits now that I’m aggravated enough.

The TM weight has a nice hollowed out opening, I bet you could add lead or tungsten powder/epoxy mixtures in there to get a heavier weight.

Rob- just an FYI you can buy a T21 attachment that has the hole in the center of the bit. I dont know the exact name but we called them security torx bits. Check out a local lowes or home depot. may save you some time and help make sure everything goes back together smoothly.
Also… it kills me to see a Cobra product in a TM head. Just sayin..
