Tweets of the week: Post-Christmas edition

A belated Merry Christmas, golf lovers!

With ugly sweaters and goofy grins aplenty, the world’s best golfers weren’t immune to the seasonal cheer, and the holiday spirit was reflected in the social media accounts of the PGA and LPGA Tour’s finest.

First up: Jonas Blixt. The Swede is a true wild card when it comes to social media. Blixt once had a buddy live tweet his round as though he were the golfer. Here he is looking skyward with what appears to be a woman sporting a Santa Claus mask.

Next, we have this offering from European Tour rookie of the year, Peter Uihlein. It’s good to see that even with his recent success, the 24-year-old is still willing to humor his mother.

Here’s my nominee for Christmas Sweater of the Year: Andres Gonzales’ Home Alone-inspired garment. Mr. DeLaet’s sweater, although certainly not safe for mass consumption, is a contender as well.

Rickie Fowler has been getting a lot of mileage out of his GoPro lately and Christmas day was no exception. Here’s the Oklahoma State alum flipping off a house and taking a plunge.

Here’s Ian Poulter sporting two of his Christmas gifts: Superman pajamas and a reindeer sweater. Groovy indeed.

Even the Golden Bear (or whoever manages his Twitter account) had a Christmas-related tweet. Here’s a Nicklaus family Christmas portrait from a time when men’s shorts were much shorter.

Finally, here’s world No. 6, Rory McIlroy, in his Christmas sweater.

I’m not sure what’s worse on Rory, that awful sweater or the gun range safety goggles he’s sporting…

GolfWRX is on site for the second major of 2026: The PGA Championship from Aronimink in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

The tournament’s location, just outside Philadelphia, and its status as a major championship mean GolfWRXers are in for a treat: WITBs from a strong field, custom gear celebrating the PGA Championship, and the rich culture of the City of Brotherly Love — we have noted a relative absence of cheesesteak-themed items thus far this week, but most of the rest of the usual suspects are well represented.
